On Friday, Hockey India announced plans for the first-ever sub-junior national camp. A 40-person women’s sub-junior core group has been assembled in preparation for a national coaching camp that will get underway on August 21 at Rourkela’s top-notch Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium.
Rani, a former captain of the Indian women’s hockey team, will act as a mentor and coach during the camp.
According to an announcement from Hockey India on Friday, the athletes were chosen based on their recent results at the Sub-Junior National Championships.
