Campa Cola, a company that once ruled the market with its soft drink, is getting ready to make a comeback. After declaring Jio 5G’s launch by that holiday this year, Reliance still has a tonne of Diwali treats in store for the country.

Reliance Industries has acquired the domestic aerated soft drink brand from Delhi-based Pure Drinks as part of its strategy to grow the FMCG sector. The deal is said to be worth Rs 22 crore. Desi cola, formerly a favourite in India, is being brought back at Reliance’s own stores.

The soft drinks made by Mumbai-based Parle, including Gold Spot, Limca, and Thums Up, would eventually have shared the market with Campa Cola in India’s most populous regions.
