Elon Musk, owner of Twitter and CEO of Tesla Inc., dropped from the top spot on Wednesday, according to Forbes, as a result of his risky gamble to acquire the social media company and selling shares of his electric car company to raise the $44 billion price.
According to Forbes, Bernard Arnault, the head of LVMH, the parent company of luxury brand Louis Vuitton, and his family won the title with a combined personal wealth of $185.4 billion
With a net worth of $185.3 billion, Musk has been ranked first among the world’s richest people on the Forbes list since September 2021.
