Dhanush and Jyoshna, two weightlifters from India, win bronze medals in their respective age groups at the IWF World Youth Championships

On the first day of the IWF World Youth Championships in Durres, Albania, Indian weightlifters Jyoshna Sabar and Dhanush Loganathan earned bronze medals in their respective divisions. Jyoshna, a 14-year-old competitor in the women’s 40kg category, lifted 115 kg in total.

In contrast, 16-year-old Dhanush placed third in the men’s 49kg competition after lifting a total of 200 kg, just behind Filipino competitors Prince K. Delos Santos and Eron Borres. He also took home a silver in the snatch division.
