Aman Sehrawat wins a bronze medal in the men’s freestyle 57kg wrestling category on Friday at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
At just 21 years and 24 days old, Sehrawat has become the youngest Indian athlete to win an Olympic medal, surpassing the previous record held by badminton player PV Sindhu, who was 21 years, one month, and 14 days old when she won silver at Rio 2016.
Sehrawat’s victory marks India’s first wrestling medal at the Paris and the country’s sixth overall medal at this Olympics.
