Raju Srivastava, a comedian, passed away today in Delhi, more than a month after having a heart arrest while exercising in the gym. He was 58.
At 10.20 am, according to hospital sources cited by news agency PTI, Srivastava was pronounced dead. According to his nephew Mridul Srivastava, he would be cremated at the Nigambodh Ghat in Delhi tomorrow at 9:30 am.
Srivastava died too soon, according to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who also expressed his condolences.
“Raju Srivastava brightened our lives with laughter, humour, and positivity. He leaves us too soon but he will continue to live in the hearts of countless people thanks to his rich work over the years. His demise is saddening. Condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti,” he tweeted.
