On the first day of the IWF World Youth Championships in Durres, Albania, Indian weightlifters Jyoshna Sabar and Dhanush Loganathan earned bronze medals in their respective divisions. Jyoshna, a 14-year-old competitor in the women’s 40kg category, lifted 115 kg in total.
In contrast, 16-year-old Dhanush placed third in the men’s 49kg competition after lifting a total of 200 kg, just behind Filipino competitors Prince K. Delos Santos and Eron Borres. He also took home a silver in the snatch division.
