With a new cabinet, Emmanuel Macron hopes to resurrect his presidency. Gabriel Attal has been selected as the next prime minister of France, currently serving as an education minister.
Outperforming even Socialist Laurent Fabius, who was 37 when appointed by François Mitterrand in 1984, he is the youngest prime minister in modern French history at 34. Following her resignation after 20 months in office, Mr. Attal takes over for Élisabeth Borne.
