Team India won the Asia Cup on Sunday at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, defeating Sri Lanka to capture their eighth straight title, the most of any team in the history of the event.
In the championship game’s finale, Siraj’s six-wicket haul allowed India to dismiss Sri Lanka for a pitiful 50. Sri Lanka, having elected to bat first, loses their first six wickets for only 12 runs. Their innings ended after just 15.2 overs. While Siraj concluded with the astounding figures of six for 21 in seven overs, Hardik Pandya contributed with three wickets.
India quickly reached the 51-run total in 6.1 innings thanks to the middle-order batsmen Ishan Kishan (23 not out) and Shubman Gill (27 not out).
