In the match between DC and RCB today, batting first RCB reached a score of 152 in their 20 overs. The bowling from the DC bowlers was on the money from the start, with Anrich Nortje and Kagiso Rabada picking up 3 wickets and 2 wickets, respectively. Ravichandran Ashwin picked one wicket only giving 18 runs. For RCB, Devdutt Padikkal scored another brilliant half century; this young talented batsman has been a force to reckon with in this year’s IPL. The next best score for RCB came from AB de Villiers; he scored a quick fire 35.

Chasing a modest total of 152, DC lost Prithvi Shaw early in the innings, but Shikhar Dhawan and Ajinkya Rahane steadied the ship, scoring 54 and 60, respectively. By the time, both got out, DC was on the verge of winning the match and sealing the 2nd spot in the playoffs. Even after losing the match, RCB got through the playoffs as the third team, courtesy their better run-rate than KKR.

The league stage of IPL 2020 is coming to an end, with only one match left between SRH and MI on Tuesday (3rd November 2020), and the last berth for the playoffs is still open for grabs. The outcome of the final stage match will seal the fate for either SRH or KKR. MI has already sealed its place in the playoffs.
