Manika Batra, an Indian player of table tennis, won the bronze medal at the present ITTF-ATTU Asian Cup competition on Saturday at the Huamark Indoor Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, becoming the first female Indian paddler to take home a medal at the competition. She defeated Hina Hayata, the sixth-ranked player in the world and a three-time Asian champion, by a score of 4-2 to win the bronze.
