Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav, the leader of the Janata Samajbadi Party, has been chosen as Nepal’s third vice president. Yadav defeated Mamata Jha of the Janamat Party and Astalaxmi Shakya of the CPN in today’s election. The Nepali Congress, the CPN , and the CPN , as well as the government coalition, had all supported him.
The survey was completed by 311 federal parliamentarians and 518 members of provincial assemblies. The Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu, served as the election’s polling place.
Former Minister of Forests and Environment Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav served in Nepal’s first Federal Parliament.
