On Thursday, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presented the National Film Awards 2021 at the Bangabandhu International Convention Center (BICC) in Dhaka. The awards were given out in 27 different categories.
Doly Jahur and Ilias Kanchan were honoured with the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ for their contributions to the Bangladesh film industry.
Rezwan Shahriar Sumit won Best Director for his film Nona Joler Kabbo. The best actor prize went to Siam Ahmed and Mir Shabbir Mahmud. Nur. Sujeyo Sham received the prize for best music director.
The prize for Best Film was shared by Lal Moroger Jhuti and Nona Joler Kabbo. Dhor received the prize for best short film, while Bodhobhumite Ekdin received the award for best documentary film.
