After the Laver Cup 2022 is over the next week, one of the greatest tennis players of all time, Roger Federer, will retire from competitive competition.
The renowned tennis player revealed his retirement plans in a long tweet he posted today. He added that he would continue to play tennis, just not in Grand Slam events or on the tour.
Tennis has treated me more kindly than I could have imagined, according to Federer, who has played more than 1500 matches over 24 years. And now I have to know when to call it quits on my career as a competitive athlete.
