Shooter Rahi Sarnobat wins India’s first gold medal in World Cup

Olympic-bound Rahi Sarnobat showed shocking structure to secure the ladies’ 25m gun gold decoration at the ISSF shooting World Cup on Monday yet teenager sensation Manu Bhaker finished seventh in a similar occasion. Sarnobat’s gold is India’s first in the continuous version after the nation got one silver and two bronze awards prior in the competition. The 30-year-old Sarnobat terminated a last score of 39 subsequent to qualifying second with an aggregate of 591. Her astounding presentation in the last remembered ideal scores for the third, fourth, fifth and 6th arrangement.

“After I got assurance about the gold, it was more about technicalities for me in the last few series as I wanted to try out a few things so I was doing that, This competition was absolutely not about performance or medal because I was trying out a few things which I am going to do in the Olympic Games and this is the final competition before that,” she said about her stellar performance.

“It was more about trying out things and finalising everything before the Olympics for the last time and that was just that,” she further added.
