Within barely 18 days of its premiere, the movie amassed an astounding 200 crores. The film, which was directed by Sudipto Sen, focuses light on Kerala women’s forced conversions and recruitment by the terrorist organisation Islamic State (IS).
In a lengthy remark, Adah Sharma asserted that this is the first female-led film to gross over Rs. 200 crore. The best things in life are unexpected because there were no expectations, she remarked on Instagram. “I appreciate the audience for making this possible. The creators of #TheKeralaStory: Vipul sir for taking a major risk by making this movie without studio support and for believing that Shalini Unnikrishnan was the actress who would play Bhavana Reddy in Commando.”
