In a Monday morning SEC filing, WWE and UFC’s parent company Endeavour confirmed their merger into a combat sports behemoth under the ownership of Endeavour Group Holdings.
The combo was revealed on Sunday, capping a few months of investigation by WWE. In a time of media fragmentation, the wrestling scene has proven to be one of the most dependable ratings pulls.
In addition to remaining in his role as CEO of Endeavour, the firms said Ari Emanuel will lead a new public organisation. The new business, estimated at $21 billion, will be a subsidiary of Endeavour, with Endeavour holding a 51% stake and WWE holding the other 49%.
