On Thursday, 16 National Highway projects were inaugurated by Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari in Uttar Pradesh through a virtual session. He laid the foundation stones for these projects, the estimated worth of which is Rs. 7477 crore.
Shri Gadkari said that presently two lakh crore worth national highways work has been initiated in the state of UP. He further said that the Centre has been focusing on building national highways in state from the last six years, and the work that has been done so far is much more than what was achieved in the state after independence.
UP CM Yogi Adityanath was also present in this online inauguration function. Speaking on the occasion, CM said that approximately 505 kilometres of roads would be constructed under these projects, which will improve connectivity, convenience and economic activities in his state.
