Considering the present COVID-19 pandemic situation, Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has brought in a new policy that will allow all pensioners to submit their Jeevan Praman Patra digitally. The EPFO has collaborated with Common Service Centre (CSC) for this initiative.
The best part of this policy change is that now pensioners can submit their Digital Life Certificates anytime of the year. Pensioners need not visit any of the PF offices and are allowed to submit their Jeevan Pramaan Patra at nearest bank branches, post offices and CSCs through their Aadhar-based Biometric Digital Life Certificate. They are only required to carry their Aadhaar number, bank pass book, pension payment order and registered mobile phone with them.
The EPFO officials in Goa have gone a step ahead and announced that their department collect Life Certificates from home for those pensioners, who are bedridden.
