The Visva-Bharati University at Shantiniketan completed 100 years this year. To celebrate the centenary year, special celebrations were held today. PM Modi joined the celebrations through video conferencing.
Speaking on this momentous occasion, the PM said the 100 years journey of the university is a proud and special moment for every Indian. He added that this university is the true embodiment of Rabindranath Tagore’s vision, contemplation and hard work towards India. He congratulated Santiniketan, Visva-Bharati and Shriniketan for continuously striving to achieve the dreams of Gurudev.
PM Modi also said that today our country is leading the world in many aspects, and this has been possible because of the great intellectuals like Shri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Swami Vivekananda, Gurdev Tagore and many more, who showed the countrymen the path to development and true nationalism.
