On Saturday, 5 June, twitter eliminated the blue tick identification from the personal handle of Vice President of India M. Venkaiah Naidu @MVenkaiahNaidu, prior to reestablishing it.

Authorities of the Vice President Secretariat said the individual Twitter handle of Naidu @MVenkaiahNaidu was inactive for quite a while and the Twitter algorithm eliminated the blue identification.

The organization has said that confirmation can be eliminated whenever and without notice. “You may lose your badge if you change your account name (@handle), if your account becomes inactive or incomplete, or if you are no longer in the position you initially were verified for – such as an elected government official who leaves office – and you do not otherwise meet our criteria for verification,” the rules said

They said Twitter was currently reestablishing the check identification. The last tweet posted from the individual handle was on July 23 a year ago.

Then, BJP Mumbai representative Suresh Nakhua questioned Twitter on eliminating the blue badge from the Vice President’s Twitter handle and named it an ‘assault on the Constitution of India’.

“Why did @Twitter @TwitterIndia remove a Bluetick from the handle of Vice President of India Shri @MVenkaiahNaidu Ji? This is an assault of the Constitution of India,” tweeted Suresh Nakhua today.
