Nitin Gadkari inaugurates in Nagpur the first private LNG plant in the country

On Sunday, Federal Minister of Transport Nitin Gadkari opened the country’s first privately-owned LNG (liquefied natural gas) plant in Nagpur. Chance LNG is the fuel of the future, and it will revolutionize the transportation sector.

Baidyanath Ayurvedic Group has built the country’s first LNG plant on Kampti Road near the Nagpur-Jabalpur Highway. Mr. Gadkari also said that the central government is promoting ethanol, electricity, compressed natural gas and liquefied natural gas as alternatives to traditional fuels.

He pointed out that the country produces excessive amounts of sugar and rice, and suggested that these excess products be used to make biofuels, and he has tried to use these agricultural products to make bioethanol with success. The straw is collected in the eastern part of Vidarbha, famous for its rice cultivation.

Minister also emphasized the importance of “flexible engines” that can use gasoline and ethanol for transportation. He said that the central government is considering a policy to force Indian automakers to install flexible engines.
