International flights to and from India will recommence tonight at midnight. After a two-year hiatus, flight operations will resume. In light of the Covid-19 epidemic, the Civil Aviation Ministry had banned regular foreign flights in March 2020.
According to the Ministry, overseas operations must strictly comply to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare’s international travel standards.
According to the Airport Authority of India, it has changed its existing COVID-19 criteria for foreign operations. The prohibition of keeping three seats unoccupied on international flights has been lifted, according to the updated criteria.
The necessity for crew members to have a full PPE gear has also been abolished.
