According to press sources, Deepak Nitrite had five big chemical blasts on June 2 at its production site in the Nandesari GIDC district of Vadodara, which resulted in a massive fire. According to accounts, smoke could be seen from a considerable distance away, and 7-8 fire personnel arrived to put out the fire.
Following the tragedy, the corporation issued a statement stating it was monitoring the situation and that the safety of its employees and the surrounding community was its first concern.
