Centre has been working on engineering to introduce a rooftop solar plant to private buyers. The New and Renewable Energy Service says a public entrance for recipients to sign up for the application and further progress will be created. Beneficiary families, who want to introduce Rooftop Solar under the new instrument, must register on the public portal. Recipients will need to submit essential data, including the complex contents of the ledger, where the funding will be directed. Applications will be submitted online to the relevant DISCOM for actual expert approval within the next 15 business days. It is said that the beneficiary must introduce his tree within a predetermined period of time or else his claim will be forfeited.

The ministry said  the public entrance will be created in about six to about two months. Until the public entrance becomes operational, the current method of allocating profits for setting up a rooftop solar plant through DISCOMs will continue.
