“We need a 50 percent reserve for women in the judiciary. These are thousands of years of oppression. In the lower levels of the judiciary, less than 30% of the judges are women, in the High Courts it is 11.5% and in the Supreme Court only 11-12% are women ”, he declared in speaking to Supreme Court lawyers. “It’s your right, you have the right to ask for it (reserve in judicial and legal colleges,” she added.

“Very few women find representation at the top. Even when they do, they continue to face significant challenges. After 75 years of independence, we would expect at least 50 percent representation of women at all levels, but I must admit that with great difficulty we have now only achieved 11 percent female representation on the Supreme Court, ”he added.
