The national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party, JP Nadda, named CR Kesavan as the party’s spokesperson on Wednesday, ahead of the Lok Sabha election.
Last year, CR Kesavan, the great-grandson of C Rajagopalachari, joined the BJP and quit the Congress.
India’s last Governor-General was C Rajagopalachari.
For a number of states, the Bharatiya Janata Party named its election-in-charge and co-in-charge on Wednesday.
Nitin Nabin from Chhattisgarh, Avinash Rai Khanna from Tripura, Ajeet Ghopchade from Manipur, Devesh Kumar from Mizoram, Nalin Kohli from Nagaland, OP Dhankhad from Delhi, and Captain Abhimanyu from Assam have all been assigned to lead their respective states.
