On Tuesday, Cyclone Biparjoy weakened into a very strong cyclonic storm and is now 380 km south of Karachi as it moves north-northwest. Cyclone Biparjoy, which is anticipated to make landfall near Kutch in India and then travel towards Pakistan, is still being prepared for by India and Pakistan.
The only additional cyclone to strike the western coast in nearly 60 years was Cyclone Biparjoy. According to experts, the increase in frequency and intensity is a sign that climate change is having a harmful effect.
In Gandhidham, Rajkot, Ahmedabad, and Bhavnagar, emergency control centres have been established.
Up to June 15, 95 trains that pass through, originate from, or end in Gujarat’s Biparjoy-affected districts will continue to be cancelled or short-terminated, according to a statement from Western Railway.
