The deadline for Goods and Services Tax (GST) annual return filing dates for the FY 2020-21 has been extended from 31 December 2021 till 28 Feb 2022. This was announced by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC) on Tuesday night through a tweet.
The due date for furnishing annual return in FORM GSTR-9 & self-certified reconciliation statement in FORM GSTR-9C for the financial year 2020-21 has been extended from 31.12.2021 to 28.02.2022. Taxpayers file GSTR 9 on a yearly basis under the Goods and Services Tax (GST). This annual return filing form seeks details of the inward and outward supplies received or made under different tax heads while GSTR-9C is a statement of reconciliation between the audited annual financial statment and GSTR 9.
