Recently, Tesla Incorporation Chief Elon Musk tweeted saying that he will give away $100 million as prize money to anyone who will develop the best technology to capture carbon dioxide emissions, which has become a major concern for the entire world.
Several initiatives across the globe has begun in past couple of decades, where global warming is a critical point of contention. However, sadly, less progress has been made to resolve this growing issue through technology.
As per the reports of The International Energy Agency, there has been sharp rise in deployment of carbon capture technology in different countries; however, these are early days.
Musk in his tweet, said “Am donating $100M towards a prize for best carbon capture technology.” He followed it with another tweet, “Details next week.”
Elon Musk was recently in news for surpassing Jeff Bezos to become the richest man in the world.
