At the Melbourne Cricket Ground on November 13, Jos Buttler and company defeated Pakistan by a margin of five wickets to win the T20 World Cup 2022 trophy.
In choosing to bowl after winning the toss, England excelled, holding Pakistan to just 137. Ben Stokes was the match’s MVP and helped his nation win, despite Pakistan’s best efforts to rally with the bat and take some key wickets.
The “Player of the Match” and the “Player of the Tournament” awards went to England’s Sam Curren.
