The inaugural flight from Bhubaneswar to Dubai was launched off on Monday at the Biju Patnaik International Airport in this city by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
Naveen stated that May 15, 2023 will usher in a new era for Odisha and noted that Dubai is a significant hub for travel and tourism in the Middle East that offers access to the European and US markets.
This inaugural trip from Bhubaneswar to Dubai had 170 passengers in all, including the crew of the aircraft. To greet the departing travellers from Odisha, special arrangements were planned. They received congratulations, an Uttariya, Odisha Tourism kit bag, as well as gifts of candy and flowers.
These flights, which are run by Indigo Airlines, will occur three times per week.
