India crushed West Indies by 96 runs in third and last ODI in Ahmedabad the previous evening to finish a 3-0 series whitewash. Subsequent to picking to bat, the hosts were bowled out for 265 runs. Shreyas Iyer played a phenomenal thump for India, crushing 80 runs off 111 balls while Rishabh Pant enrolled 50 years with 56 runs off 54 balls. Pacer Jason Holder took four wickets for West Indies.
Pursuing an objective of 266 runs, the guests were excused for 169 in 37.1 overs by the Indian pacers. While Mohammad Siraj and Prasidh Krishna sacked three wickets each, Deepak Chahar and Kuldeep Yadav took two wickets each.
Prior, India won the throw and selected to bat first. The hosts had effectively dominated the three-game series by taking an unassailable 2-0 lead. India won the main ODI by six wickets and the second by 44 runs.
