International flights to and from India will resume at midnight today. Flight operations will resume after a two-year hiatus. The Civil Aviation Ministry had banned regular foreign flights in March 2020 due of the Covid-19 epidemic.
According to the Ministry, overseas operations must strictly conform to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare’s rules for international travel.
The Airport Authority of India has announced that it has changed its current COVID-19 standards for foreign operations. The prohibition of keeping three seats unoccupied on international flights has been lifted, according to the amended standards.
The necessity for crew members to have a complete PPE gear has also been abolished.
