Kieron Pollard, one of the most accomplished players in T20 cricket, ended his playing career in the IPL on Tuesday after 13 seasons with the league’s dominant Mumbai Indians.
After talking with the five-time winners, the 35-year-old gave up on his desire to play for a few more seasons and announced his retirement from the IPL.
In 189 games, Pollard has scored 3412 runs in the IPL. He made his MI debut in 2010. He will serve as the team’s new hitting coach, so his close relationship with the franchise will continue.
