Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, took part in his first Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) competition and won gold and silver, he said on his Facebook page on Sunday.
The 38-year-old software millionaire congratulated his coaches and added, “Competed in my first jiu-jitsu tournament and won some medals for the Guerrilla Jiu-Jitsu team.”
The location and timing of the tournament are unknown.
According to BJJ news outlet Jits Magazine, Mr. Zuckerberg participated in the competition in both gi and no gi jiu-jitsu, competing in the white belt master 2 lightweight division.
A thick, white-colored cotton uniform known as a gi is worn by practitioners of many martial arts, including BJJ.
