Narendra Modi meets political leaders of Jammu and Kashmir

PM Narendra Modi today led an all-party meeting with the political pioneers from Jammu and Kashmir in the public capital. The gathering was gone to by pioneers from different ideological groups including National meeting pioneers Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah, Congress pioneer Ghulam Nabi Azad, PDP pioneer Mehbooba Mufti, Home Minister Amit Shah, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, BJP Jammu and Kashmir President Ravinder Raina, and People’s Conference President Sajjad Lone.

This was the main such gathering after fifth August, 2019 when the Center chose to repeal Article 370 of the Constitution that gave Jammu and Kashmir an extraordinary status.

In front of the gathering, National Conference Patron Farooq Abdullah had said in Srinagar that they will actually want to make their position clear to the Prime Minister and Home Minister Amit Shah. People groups Democratic Party boss Mehbooba Mufti, has said that she expects an unmistakable goal to their interests. She additionally expressed that everything issues can be tackled through discourse.

In the interim, yesterday, the Election Commission had virtual conversations with its agents in Jammu and Kashmir and representative officials in regards to the delimitation of the 90 Assembly voting demographics in the Union Territory.
