Today, PM Modi via video conferencing, flagged off eight trains, which will connect Kevadiya to Varanasi, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Dadar, Hazrat, Rewa, Nizamuddin and Pratapnagar.
These train facilitates seamless rail connectivity to Statue of Unity in Gujarat. It will help the tribal community of Kevadiya to change their lives and will bring self-employment.
Launching the event, PM Modi said Kevadiya’s station is India’s first railway station to begin with green building certification and has emerged as one of biggest tourist destinations of world.
On the occasion, Union Railway Minister Piyush Gopal and Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani were also present.
