PM Modi will be laying foundation of the longest expressway of the state of Uttar Pradesh, named Ganga Expressway, on 18th December 2021 in the district of Shahjahanpur.
The expressway, upon completion, would connect Bijauli village in Meerut and Judapur Dandu village in Prayagraj. It will pass through UP districts of Sambhal, Meerut, Unnao, Budaun, Hapur, Hardoi, Amroha, Bulandshahr, Pratapgarh, Rae Bareli and Prayagraj.
The total length of the six-lane expressway would be 594 Km, and it would be built at an approximate cost of Rs 36,200 crore. There is proposal to built an industrial corridor along the expressway. In addition, a 3.5 Km long air strip will also be constructed for emergency landing and take off of Air Force planes.
