On 15th December, PM Modi will visit the Kutch area of Gujarat, specifically Dhordo village to lay foundation stone for different development projects. On this occasion, CM Vijay Rupani will also be present.
The development projects comprise a hybrid renewable energy park; a desalinization plant; and a fully automatic milk processing and packing plant.
“This Desalination Plant, with 10 crore litre per day capacity (100 MLD), will strengthen water security in Gujarat by complementing Narmada Grid, Sauni network and treated wastewater infrastructure,” the release said.
Almost 8 lakh people in the nearby regions will receive the potable drinking water courtesy this plant. It is among of the five forthcoming desalination plants besides those at Ghogha Bhavnagar (70 MLD), Dahej (100 MLD), Gir Somnath (30 MLD) and Dwarka (70 MLD).
The Hybrid Renewable Energy Park will be the country’s largest renewable energy generation park with the tune of 30 GW.
According to the PMO release, PM will also lay the foundation stone of a fully automated milk processing and packing plant at Sarhad Dairy Anjar, Kutch worth Rs. 121 crores. It will have a capacity to process 2 lakh litre of milk per day.
