According to Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir Teerth Kshetra Trust general secretary Champat Rai, the Ram temple, which is being built at the location thought to be the deity’s birthplace in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya city, is set to be inaugurated on Makar Sankranti in 2024.
His declaration was made at the Delhi-based Ayodhya Parv event.
“Although I had previously said that the Ram Janmabhoomi temple would be dedicated by the end of 2023, its exact opening date cannot be determined because the sun would be in dakshinayan at that time. We can thus seek to open the magnificent temple on Makar Sankranti, which is regarded as an auspicious day, when the sun enters uttarayan. Technically, the last day of the previous year is any day before January 14,” remarked Rai
