Amazon India recently reported that its Prime subscriber base double this year on its Prime Day sales in the month of August. This is an interesting data since the Prime Day sale of 2020 was postponed by Amazon in rest of the world due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation.
A statement released by the e-commerce giant states, “Amazon India also hosted Prime Day on August 6-7, during which twice as many customers became Prime members compared to the previous year.” The company after a good show during the Prime Day sales is confident of a similar result during Diwali.
It has been making profits during this pandemic time. and has posted a profit of $407 million from its overseas market, which include India.
