Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for
Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh State University in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. The
university was founded by the state government to honor the memory of the great
freedom fighter, educator and social reformer Raju Mahendra Pratap Singh. The
university is being built on a total area of over 92 acres. It will provide
affiliation with 395 universities in the Aligarh division.
The Prime Minister will also visit the Aligarh Button Exhibitions of the Defense Industry Corridor of Uttar Pradesh and the Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh State University. A total of six nodes Aligarh, Agra, Kanpur, Chitrakut, Jhansi and Lucknow are planned to be built in the defense industry corridor.
At the Aligarh node, the land allocation process was completed and the land was
transferred to 19 companies that are investing Rs. Rs 1245 crore per knot. This corridor in Uttar Pradesh will help the country to become self-sufficient
in the defense manufacturing sector and promote manufacturing in India.
