PS1 Film surpasses Vikram and earns the most money in Tamil Nadu.

Ponniyin Selvan, a film by Mani Ratnam According to trade sources, I has now surpassed Kamal Haasan’s Vikram’s lifetime revenue of 183 crore in the state to become the most grossing Tamil movie of all time in Tamil Nadu. At the Tamil Nadu box office on Wednesday, PS1 outperformed Vikram and finished the day with a gross of 186 crore. Sources claim that PS1 will easily surpass 200 crore in Tamil Nadu with a continuous run until Diwali.

Arulmozhivarman (Ponniyin Selvan), who later rose to become Chola Emperor Rajaraja I, is depicted in PS1 as a young man (947–1014). Arulmozhivarman is played by Jayam Ravi in the movie; other prominent actors include Vikram, Karthi, Trisha, and Aishwarya Rai.

Trade analyst Trinath stated that PS1 overtook Vikram to become the new highest-grossing movie in Tamil Nadu at the end of Wednesday. “As of Wednesday night, PS1’s Tamil Nadu revenue was somewhere over 186 crore. In less than two weeks, it has outperformed Vikram’s total lifetime earnings in TN. With no significant releases till Diwali, PS1 will easily surpass the 200 crore mark in Tamil Nadu, and it won’t be simple for any other movie to break the record, according to Trinath.
