A bipedal humanoid robot named NEO will be created by 1X with EVE for OpenAI.
We previously wrote about Tesla and the Vancouver-based robotics company Sanctuary AI preparing their AI-powered robots to replace humans in the workforce. It appears that a different company has now formally introduced its humanoid robot into a workplace setting.
Sam Altman’s OpenAI, which supports the robotics start-up 1X, has surpassed Elon Musk’s Tesla in putting the first AI robot to work. According to reports, the EVE robot has been installed as a security guard at an Android production facility. Security and monitoring are apparently being redefined by the robot.
Advanced surveillance technologies including cameras, motion sensors, and alarm sensors support EVE. The most absurd aspect of the robot is that, if an android misbehaves, EVE may allegedly use virtual reality to enter its body and seize control.
