The Indian team for the South Africa series was announced on Wednesday that will play 3 test matches and 3 ODIs. However, the biggest announcement was the promotion of Rohit Sharma as the Captain of the ODI team, though his vice captainship for the test team was certain, after Ajiynkya Rahane’s dismal show in the last couple of series. Although, Rahane has been retained in the team. Sharma has been given the reins of the team looking at the ICC tournaments scheduled in the next two years.
The team for the test series will be led by Virat Kohli, under whose leadership India recently won the two-match test series against New Zealand.
