As per the reports from the authorities of Pakistan Foreign Office, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has temporarily suspended visa services for 12 countries, including Pakistan with an eye on the second wave of COVID-19.
Pakistan’s spokesperson, Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri confirmed the latest development and said, “We have learned that the UAE has temporarily suspended the issuance of new visit visas until further announcement for 12 countries, including Pakistan.” The other countries in the suspended list include Iran, Afghanistan, Turkey, Syria, Somalia and Iraq.
The increase in number of COVID cases in the region has compelled UAE to take this temporary step.
