On Tuesday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a red alert for scattered heavy to very heavy rainfall in various districts of Odisha over the next two to three days.
The cyclonic circulation that once covered East Central Bay of Bengal and its surroundings has moved to Central Bay of Bengal and the nearby North Bay of Bengal, according to IMD.
Over the districts of Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Nayagarh, Boudh, Sonepur, Kandhamal, and Ganjam, there has been heavy to very heavy rainfall, with isolated exceptionally heavy.
