Laal Singh Chaddha of Aamir Khan, may have underperformed domestically, but it broke a big box office record internationally. Bollywood Hungama reports that the Forrest Gump remake has surpassed blockbusters like Gangubai Kathiawadi, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, and The Kashmir Files to become the highest-grossing Hindi movie of 2022 in foreign markets.
Laal Singh Chaddha has managed to exceed Gangubai Kathiawadi ($7.47 million), Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 ($5.88 million), and The Kashmir Files ($5.7 million) with $7.5 million (Rs 59 crore) in more than a week since its premiere. Comparatively, all three of those films were huge successes in India. However, the Telugu hit RRR has brought in about $20 million from foreign markets.
