Google Chrome was found to be the most dangerous internet browser of 2022 in a recent survey by Atlas VPN. Other well-known names on the list included Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Safari.
The vulnerability database provided the data used in this report (VulDB). Basically, this database collects data from January 1 through October 5, 2017. It was noted that over the course of this time, Google Chrome discovered 303 vulnerabilities in a span of 10 months. These startling figures sent Google Chrome to the top of the list of the most dangerous browsers in 2022.
With 117 vulnerabilities found, Mozilla Firefox, which is now ranked second, is not even secure. Microsoft Edge will shortly be added to the list with 103 security flaws and 806 vulnerabilities in 2022. Only 26 vulnerabilities have been found in Apple Safari, another popular web browser, making it relatively secure up to this point.
